Heavy Zend Framework Slam!

Okay, for those of you who don't know any better, PHP is the worlds best programming language and they now have a new "web 2.0" MVC framework. Here is a fantastic description of the Zend Framework and how it compares to less mature (read Ruby on Rails and Django) frameworks.

Oh, and for those who don't know sarcasm, please disregard this post.

Very Funny V.

Small Business Drama and The Something Store - Violent Acres: "For those of you who don’t know, a business plan is roughly a 20 page book full of made up numbers and estimated profits you could make should you find anyone dumb enough to lend money to you. Although it’s ultimately a book of speculation and bullshit, it is seriously frowned upon to write things like, “[Business name] should be making 10 BILLION DOLLARS A WEEK within 3 weeks of opening!” Apparently, they like it better when you say things like, “[Business name] will net a $40,000 profit in its first year and increase revenue by 20% every year thereafter” even though both sentences were pulled from the same stinky asshole. Furthermore, money lenders don’t necessarily find it funny when you mockingly refer to it as ‘The Book of Lies,’ either."

Autism has a voice and it sounds like my Mac?!

So, apparently, Autistics aren't "trapped in their own world" at all. They are more connected with the world then Non-Autistics are. We have never been able to learn their language, but they can learn ours!!
[Note: unless you're Autistic you probably won't understand the first 3:10 of this video]

Science has traditionally viewed autistics as solitary types. Amanda Baggs is part of the increasingly visible community of autistics who use technologies like type-to-speech software, blogs and online video to reach out to others.
WIRED - The Truth About Autism: Scientists Reconsider What They Think They Know
They aren't isolated from our world, we are isolated from theirs!
